What would you like to see at the Farmer’s Market this year? What new type of vendors should we add? What would you like to have for new activities, such as community projects, music, etc.? Lori, the Market Master, welcomes your suggestions. We also need your help to broaden the range of activities that we offer, so if you have an good idea for a special event or program, we would greatly welcome anything you can do for us that would make that event happen.

Oldtimers at the Market (1960's)

The Muskegon Farmer’s Market website is all about interaction between customers, farmers, vendors and the management. This website is in a “blog” (weblog) design which means we have short articles called “posts” on many topics such as shopper tips, produce in season, recipes, etc. At the end of each post, is a link for “comments”. We encourage you to make comments on any post you choose. We would like to hear about your experiences at the Market.

For example, if you have a favorite recipe for cooking the fresh food you have bought at the Market, we would really appreciate that you would send it in via a comment. Lots of younger folks do not know how to cook food from scratch. They are used to prepared meals. Some of the “old-fashioned” vegetables are not in vogue with the younger set. Your good recipe may inspire them to purchase and use the nutritious foods sold at the Market.

Farmers and vendors: we would like to hear from you too. Let us know what produce you are bringing to the Market. Many of you have been farming for generations. Let us know about your history. There is great concern about the safety and quality of fresh foods. Local producers provide high quality, safe foods with no middle men or processors.
