    HI,

On your time for the flea market, you put 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. Is this a mistake? Thank you.

  • 5 farmersmarket // Jun 13, 2009 at 3:02 pm

Thank you for pointing out this mistake. The start time is 6:00.

Does the market open on July 4? Because if it opens July 4 there are a lot of produce that is not going to be sold because it is past their growing season.

Does the person in charge of this program have ANY
    farm related experience?

  • 7 Lori // Jul 4, 2009 at 10:22 am

Product was picked July 3rd & G.R. market is open July 5th so no produce will go to waste.
Asparagus is past its season now & the Cherry/strawberry season is just starting depending on location of the farm. Apricots are at market too!

I was wondering if there were any requirements and/or things we could not sell at the farmers market pertaining to nursery stock and perennials?

  • 11 Hil // Aug 8, 2009 at 1:36 pm

Do you have any organic sellers at the market?
    thanks

  • 12 Lori // Aug 11, 2009 at 8:21 am

Yes Hil we do have organic vendors about 6

How do we rent a booth?

  • 17 Webmaster // Oct 14, 2009 at 8:34 pm

    Amanda,

To sell at the Farmers’ Market, you must come to the office and register. After that you need to pay a fee for a stall or spot. For more info, call the office at 722-3251.

Can you tell me who the woman is that makes the wonderful wool mittens? Will she be at the market this Saturday, if not how can I reach her? I would like to purchase several sets of mittens for Christmas gifts. Thanks.

Is there electricity at the booths for the vendors? When is it optimum to register for a booth for the Summer months?

  • 20 Webmaster // Feb 20, 2010 at 12:03 pm

    Lee,

Please call 231-722-3251 and leave a message for Lori, the Market Master. She will call you back and advise about power outlets and reserving a stall.

This website is great! I didn’t believe it was for “our” Muskegon Farmer’s Market. You have taken things to the next level! Great Job! I am looking forward to renting a stall this Summer.

  • 22 Gail Korman // Apr 30, 2010 at 7:40 pm

Do you open May 1st. Michael is the violinist who comes there and may come tomorrow if you are open. Thank you, Gail

  • 23 Webmaster // Apr 30, 2010 at 8:44 pm

Yes, the Market opens for the 2010 season tomorrow, May 1st.

  • 24 John Gear // May 2, 2010 at 10:43 am

Do you have gift certificates? I’d like to get one for my in-laws in Norton Shores for Mother’s Day.

  • 25 Don // May 10, 2010 at 3:32 pm

What days are the Flea Market open? How many vendors (Flea Market) approx are there on each of these days?

  • 26 Paula // May 19, 2010 at 9:16 am

The farmer’s market should ask all of the vendors to support our community by offering summer jobs to our kids. There could be some coordination done to provide transportation for those who don’t have their own cars.

    Hi,
I lost my pedometer at the Market 9/18. Is there a Lost and Found? Just checking in case someone found it and turned it in. Is there a phone number to call? Thank you. Darlene DeHudy 780-2799

    Darlene,

Sometimes people will turn in lost items at the Market Office. You could call 722- 3251 and ask if it showed up.

When can we expect good local sweet corn!

  • 41 Laurie // Jul 22, 2011 at 12:30 pm

We love the carmel corn that was at the market, although I have not seen him there since early May of last year. I know he sold to local stores as well, carmel corn came in a clear cellophane bag and the label had balloons on it. Anyone know what may have happened to him? or where I can find him?
